Also you should go for quadratic square rooms since they give the most surface area and cut of corners, you need to be extra stingy with everything. The perimeter wall, prison, wall around the battery, machining table and cornerss of the room aren't necessary. You wasted a lot of resources on things you don't need. Even if you usually don't use that shit, it saves lives on the ice. Get hydroponics and warm clothes as quickly as possible.Īlso, nutrient paste. An outer wall isn't exactly necessary until later, too, as many raiders will already suffer from the cold once they arrive at the base. A prison is not exactly necessary in early game, as I said, you don't want more than one colonist until later. The biggest issue on sea ice early game is actually food, so having too many colonists too early is very dangerous. Personally, I always liked rich explorer start for sea ice more than crashlanded.
